Will definitely stay again.
Our room (335) was in rough shape. There were stains on the dining room chairs, the bathroom floor had busted tiles, and the room looked very dated. It's definitely in need of updating. The room had a very "tired" feel to it.
The good news was that our beds were clean and comfortable, and our family had enough space. The exterior of the building is still nice and well kept. Also, the cooked to order breakfast was very good.
Our home a/c broke, so we had to get a hotel for a few days. We have an infant who regularly takes naps, so having a suite is important to us. So we decided to try the Embassy Suites at USF.
Plenty of parking but you will have to pay for it. Lots of families since it's so close to Busch gardens. Breakfast was always good and the atrium setup let in a lot of light. The room was satisfactory, but couldn't seem to get the AC to get a specific temperature no matter what we left the temperature on. Staff was very helpful and polite. Also don't forget about free drinks between 5:30-7:30 pm every night.
Here on business. Great staff. Friendly and acomadationg. Rooms are very clean and comfortable.

The breakfast and the reception was decent. However, I will never return to this location. Home 2 Suites across the street will be my choice when visiting in the future.
This Tampa location was fabulous! Very clean and any staff I met with was very respectful and curtious. I dis not stay as a guest at the hotel but I did have some friends staying and when we went to their room it was very nice. If I didn't lice so close or had any reason to stay in a nearby hotel I would choose this location.
Great to have restaurant and bar. Exercise room was great to have.
I don't think I would recommend staying at the USF Embassy Suites, unless it goes under a serious interior renovation.
It was the worst Embassy Suites I have ever stayed in. The rooms smell of mold and smoke. My tub was clogged when I arrived and had water present in there from either the last guest or when the hotel staff "cleaned" the bathroom. The maintenance man was called on several occasions and my issue was never fixed. I had to shower in my family member's room down the hall. The maintenance man got water on my floor when he "fixed" the tub so he used my towels to clean it up. I called to the front desk to request additional towels and was immediately asked "how many guests do you have staying with you." After I explained what happened to my towels, I was only brought one to replace.
