Don't be surprised if you waiting as the customer service is horrible! They spend a lot of time chatting about nothing and try hard to get everyone to pay extra for insurance. They love the scare tactics of "be careful... This is a no fault state"
Easy, as advertised, in and out. It deserves a mention because usually people with good experiences don’t write reviews, and reviews here skew lower than I think it deserves. I will use this company everywhere it’s located and hope it was as good as it was in Tampa.
Terrible Terrible Terrible!!! I would not recommend this place! Read the reviews they speak for themselves! I wish I would have read them first! I'll spare you the details of my experience it's way too long to post! They only thing I can say is at least Mandy was helpful the rest of this company is garbage ... Con artists liars and thives.... I'll never use Payless anywhere again and I travel often!
Took over an hour to get served at the counter.
It took over an hour for the shuttle to pick us up at the airport terminal. We called numerous times as did others waiting, only to be told 15 mins more. The attendants at the counter were rude as was the manager. I asked the manager if she realized why they had such low reviews? It wouldn't take much to fix this store, fire everyone and start with a new staff, run all 3 shuttles assigning each to a terminal. It was a holiday weekend and they were running 1 shuttle and he past by our stop 3 times with an empty shuttle. Completely frustrating experience. Never again Payless.
Worse rental place I ever rented from! Expect a wait of at least 30 minutes in the Florida heat to even get to the facility. The car I received was very dirty and smelled like smoke inside. I got charged an upgrade when I didn't ask for one. Keep in mind there is a $6.00 day charge for just walking in the facility. My advice, rent from a more trusted and accommodating car rental service like Enterprise or Hertz, they may be a little expensive, but they truly care about their customer's happiness; unlike Payless Rental.
