I recently rented a Dodge Grand Caravan at Tampa International Airport. I had a choice of 3 of these vehicles when I arrived at the airport. They were all basic Grand Caravan's with standard equipment. The only thing that they did not have was the integrated child booster seats that this vehicle normally comes with. However, we found the van to be very comfortable, and it was easy to get in and out of. There was plenty of room for 6 of us, and our luggage. I drove 300 miles with the vehicle around the St. Pete's Beach, Clearwater area. The people at Alamo were helpful both at check in and when I returned the vehicle. The whole experience was a positive one, and I would use Alamo again if they are price competitive which in this case they were.
I Went to the lot and was confused by the pick your own car situation. Usually a rental car company assigns me a specific car in a certain space. Fortunately, my new friend and hero Sofie Prada, who was manning the checkout booth, quickly came to my rescue. She was quite helpful and friendly and went crazy loving on my dog.
Always rent from Alamo when I go on vacation. Never have any problems. Cars are always clean and the associates are polite and professional. I go straight to my car with skip the counter paperwork checked in online before my trip. Easy pickup and drop off. Drop off toke less then 10 minuets. I will keep renting only from Alamo. To be honest, I don't often rent from Alamo because my experience has been that their agents are really pushy in regards to 'suggesting' upgrades and add ons. I got a good deal this trip so I went with it. As expected, the agent was most anxious for me to add on coverages or at least satellite radio. I declined extra coverage, but accepted the radio upgrade.
If all Alamo employees were as wonderful as Sofie, I'd never rent anywhere else.
Every time in in Tampa this is my go to rental company. Fair prices and great staff. I had a slight issue with my last rental but upon return, employee Biunys was very helpful and made the slight issue worth dealing with. They are passionate about your experience and the right choice. Thanks for making the end of my trip accommodating and pleasant. Trust me choose them.
We used Alamo for the first time in August 2017 and was very pleased with Alamo from the friendly staff to the user friendly kiosk at the check in area. We decided to use Alamo again a month later in September and was extremely happy with this latest experience. I can honestly say by far these last two rentals were the easiest and most pleasant car rental experiences in many years of travel. The staff is very helpful and always friendly, like they really care about the customers wants and needs. We will definitely be using Alamo anytime we need a rental car and if they service the airport we are flying into.
