This school is terrible, it is a rip off, and they are rude! I went to the school years back from like 2007 to the end of 2008 and they used to charge five dollars just to get transcripts and the process is a hassle and they are rude about it! Don't waste your time and money at this terrible school. You can research schools for this type of curriculum that will NOT put you in massive student loan debt. I wish I new better at 18 and 19.

DO NOT DO IT GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. You'll be knee deep in debt learning from instructors with mediocre or even below average skills. From what I heard while at the school More than half of the teachers failed in their own field and took the job at AI as a fallback and from my own experience with them I believe it. Too top that off the instructors will grade students based off of whether they're friends with them or not. The office was basically useless. During my time there I had to find out from fellow students that the program director for my field was terminated without the student body being given an explanation as to why. Its a for profit organization. Meaning they make money based off of how many seats they can fill. They will suck all the money they can from you and then throw you to the wolves. Which explains why they accepted anyone and everyone. This may be old news but Its basically (EDMC) posing as a specialized art school. They were sued for fraudulent recruitment tactics for $11 billion and lost. Half their campuses are closing. The few that are open have lost their accreditation. They are in the process or rebranding themselves from a for-profit to a non-profit by selling this sinking brand to The Dream Center. Google EDMC along with all my claims. It isn't pretty. Attend a traditional college or self-teach yourself. Stay away from any for-profit, but especially this one!

I went to this school from 2011-2013 for media arts and animation, and I have a lot of mixed feelings. I'd give it two and a half stars if I possibly could. Dealing with administration was a nightmare, some of the teachers were just terrible and would pass anyone just to pass them, the cost is absolutely outrageous (I'm still buried under a mountain of debt), and some of the classes are severely lacking. Despite that, I did have some good instructors, I met a number of great people I'm still friends with, and I still learned some stuff.

You will learn more and save money watching youtube! The baking and pastry program is a joke, your grades depend on the only pastry instructor who grades you depending one if she likes you or not! You will have to spend more time in regular cooking classes than baking& decorating! I left the school in 2008 then when I returned 2016 to finish they could not get my student number to therefore I had no other way to get online to do homework and get important info for 5 weeks by the time I could login I had F's in all of my classes that I brought up to C's, as a result I was dismissed ,they said my gpa was too low after that, so I had to do an appeal. I did the appeal then started again, well I was struggling as a single parent but still doing my assignments and production,in that quarter I got 2B's and a C- , this time I got academically dismissed completely! They said I got an overall 1.96 Gpa and I needed a 2.0. Go to hcc for some classes, then try to reapply at A.I I was told. I was heartbroken I should have been graduating this yr instead I'm stuck with loans and extra $$ to pay the school for a complete waist of time! Don't do it!!

Back in 2009 my son applied to attend culinary arts. After he was accepted, and attending classes for about 4 or so weeks he was told he was no longer able to attend because he did not have a high school diploma, which he did have. The school messed up in getting records. He did apply for student loan at the time. After proving he had a high school diploma he had to re apply all over again. But at that time his grandmother went with him and told school not to go through student loan and that she would pay for his schooling. He was to start all over in Jan of 2010. After a month or so he was informed he was no longer a student in the school because he was not attending classes. When we went up to the school to straighten this out, the school was institant that he was not attending classes. My son fought hard trying to prove he was in class by telling then what he had learned and what was being taught in the different classes. But that fell aponnd deaf ears. Was told he could no longer be on campus. We both were very upset!!! Now years later he gets a collection notice this past weekend that he owes over $4,000 in student loans! WHAT???? Been trying to get thru on phone to school to speak to some one in financial aid. NO ONE picks up the phone at that school. Now we are in for a battle to straighten this out!! Too me the school is a tip off and leaves people in debt!!!
