I go to this salon every 2 weeks -I get a pedicure and a gel manicure from Sean- I have never had a problem -I am very picky and want my gel to last - Sean was on vacation and went to one of the girls -she also did an amazing job! I do not understand why people write a negative review -when all of their complaints are mostly their own fault! Not happy that some skin is still on your heel -then speak up -they cannot read your mind -I'm sure if you would of said something -they would of happily fixed it. Also, I have never paid less than $50 for a gel manicure and pedicure -so to the reviewer who said they quoted a much lesser price -I believe you asked for a different service -NOT GEL! If you're looking for a salon that is clean, polite and does amazing pedicures and gel manicures -my review is 5 stars! I will not go to another salon.
If I could leave no stars I would! I walked up to the salon over an hour before they closed and taller Asian man walked up and said "yes?" I responded "....ummm I just need a fill..." all he said was "NO" I wasn't sure if he was joking because he had an attitude or if they didn't do acrylic fills so I asked and he said "no, it's you're too last minute." At this point I was not going to give them my service at all anyways so I thanked him for not allowing me to waist my money at a place where their employees are so rude right off the bat. Will never go back to this place.
Ok this is an honest review from a first time experience with pedicures and this establishment . I went in with my girlfriend as this isn't something I consider to do nor have I ever ... I gave it a try and will be the last.. Why? The initial greeting was pleasant and nice accommodations as I was a walk up while she had an appointment (Thursday afternoon not busy) The service was fine until I went to place my socks and shoes back on.. the whole underside of my foot on the heal still had shedding /peeling dead skin .. REALLY .. The lady saw it and didn't do/ask anything about it nor did I feel it necessary to make a big deal about it and didn't know if this was normal or something I should have spoken up about ... so with that I will never again pay for such services and will not recommend this establishment for this reason . Sexism towards men. That's how I felt about that.
I used to come here all the time for a gel manicure/pedicure. I started doing my own nails (not liking the repeated gel process that often took a big chunk of time). However, I had a special occasion and wanted my nails to look nice and went in for a gel French manicure and French pedicure. The man who did my nails was rude, did a sloppy job, and practically talked me out of doing a French manicure because it "wouldn't look good." When he got done, I had a lumpy, uneven pink glittery polish on my nails which peeled and chipped within a week. My pedicure was done by another female tech and she did a fantastic job. When my gel stared to chip, I went back in to have it removed. The tech proceeded to remove the gel, then file my NATURAL nails down with the electric drill not just once...but FOUR TIMES. I have a noticeable ridge on my nail between where the natural nail is growing out and the part that she filed paper thin. I have never had a tech remove gel polish with the electric drill at any salon. It was painful and now I will have to wait months for my nails to grow out completely. This place used to be awesome and now I am just angry and disappointed that I wasted my money. I will not be back.
I have been going to Sunflower nail salon for years...I have never wrote a review, however, after reading the below reviews, I felt it necessary. My experience every time I go is pleasant, relaxing, clean and most importantly my nails ALWAYS look fantastic! Sean usually does my gel manicure -he is a perfectionist-and even after all these years -still asks me "this length okay, how's the color", etc. I am very particular about the nail polish being perfectly painted - I have never once had to ask for polish to be removed from my skin or to put more polish on the sides of my nails - quite frankly, I've had every person there do my gel and i can't find one thing wrong! When I am spending the money for gel I want it to last at least 2 weeks -my nails would last much longer if I waited -they have never peeled. I would highly recommend this salon and Sean for gel manicure and any of the girls for pedicures -
