I randomly stumbled upon this location. Im looking to transition into a longer hair style, but needed to be trimmed up and hair blended well. The barber Don didn't posess an inkling of customer service. Stated he didn't know what he wanted me to do, was overall rude. When you show a barber a picture of the hair style you're attempting they should be coaching and giving their "expert" opinion on how they feel the hair should be cut. I asked the sides to be blended in was told theres nothing to blend. I should've gotten out of the chair the moment I sat down based on the initial interaction. It's not what you say is how you say it. Save your money.
I get my eyebrows done there by Steve who is absolutely wonderful. The pricing is great, he does hair as well and those prices are good too. You should really give this place a try!
odd little place -very "neighborhood" feeling, not at all slick and glossy (you're paying for service, not decor; don't expect a latte!) everyone was very warm and friendly. the "unique" part may be the barber chairs (and barbers) over by the shampoo bowls and styling stations. there wasn't much lady chit-chat while i got my shampoo, perm and cut but there was some friendly joshing, sports talk and one guy VERY proud of his granddaughter. my stylist (Angela) knew her craft and gave me exactly what we talked about, even styling my still-too-curly perm before i left so i wouldn't frighten the folks at Publix! someone else did my brow wax and WOW! It took at least 20 minutes but my nondescript eyebrows now have definition. I was amazed. then i went to pay and was amazed again:no hard sell (or even soft) for products i already have in some form, no push to re-book and less than $90! I tipped generously as service like this is unheard of in Tampa Palms!! i will be going back.
