Took very good care of my kids. Made the kids laugh and taught us something new about dental care. This has to be the best dentist in Tampa, by far. Took as much time as the kids needed and explained everything he was going to do or did to our child. I love the fact that the child is treated as the patient and not the parents. Kudos to you Dr. Jerry. You are becoming one of Tampa's gems.
I can't say enough about how much I love Dr. Jerry and his staff. We had a pretty terrible experience at another dentist in South Tampa. To be fair, I think they were very nice people (the staff and doctors). They were kind and welcoming, which is why we kept going back and trying. But where they weren't great was specifically in their approach with the child in the chair. They are all fun until the cleaning time comes. If the child doesn't comply, they force it. My daughter after 2 years was terrified of all doctors, not just dentists, and would scream and cry all the way there and back.
Great staff and wonderful atmosphere. My son came in yesterday for his first vist and he just loved it! Staff is very prompt with email responses and they sure know how to keep you updated! Loved that my child was treated like an individual and not just another patient by Dr. Copeland and his assistants. They took their time and did a great job. You guys ROCK! Look forward to our next visit!
My daughter has been Jerry's patient since age 6, she will not let anyone else see her for dental care! She is now 16 and she asked Dr. Copeland can he be her dentist until she's 30 years old! Love this doctor, he is wonderful!!!!!!! Best dentist in the world!!!
I was shopping around for dentists for my daughters' first dental visit and I was recommended Dr Copeland's office. When I called to ask for details and insurance eligibility the receptionist completely brushed me off and showed absolutely no interest in wanting to help. For that reason I will not visit this office.
We decided to try Dr. Jerry. The huge difference was their patience in taking the time to show my daughter and explain (in a VERY fun way) what they were gonna do and ask her permission. Somehow with zero tears, she said yes to everything! She giggled at the tickle brush and "Mr. Thirsty" that sucks up her spit. She was so proud of herself in the end. At home, she was sure to let me "get all the sugar buggies" at teeth brushing time, since she learned about them. I kid you not, for weeks after she asked to GO to the "nice dentist" again. When the time came for the second visit she sang "we are going to the dentist" all the way there and had a second visit- and they even got her X-rays! Whenever she's nervous to go to any doctor now, we say "this one will be fun! Like Dr. Jerry". Parenting is hard. Fear of the dentist is now one thing I can check off my list of problems :)
