Excellent experience tonight with them! Our puppy was having an allergic reaction to something that bit/stung her, and naturally it was after hours for our local vet... we took her Tampa Bay Vet Emergency and the staff and Dr. was super kind and calming and got us in and out quickly! Will definitely recommend and use again if needed. Thank you TBVE!
Awesome place. We took our sick kitty there this evening. Pretty much as soon as you walk in, the take your animal to ensure it is stable and not having an emergency problem. They were very busy tonight, so it took a while to get to a room, but the staff are very friendly. In our case, Chip, our cat, didn't seem to be in bad shape. The doctor did review a series of tests we could have done. All the fees were presented and there was no pressure to have any of it done. We did choose some blood work, fluids and a shot to help Chip out. The blood work came back in about 30 minutes. Everything was reviewed with us and instructions on how to care for him. They also fax all the information to our normal vet. We have been to the other large 24 hour animal hospital and Tampa Bay Veterinary is much more reasonable in their prices. If we ever have another emergency need for a vet, we will definitely come back here. Thanks for taking care of Chip!
They are amazing. I have a 3 month old kitten that was rushed there with severe flea anemia and low weight. She spent a week there, and she's so much better now. I was originally told that I had a $400 deposit to bring her home, but i was able to talk it down to $250. They are so amazing, that after $105 was paid, they let me bring my baby girl home, and set up an arrangement for the rest. I'm super thankful for them. They save my sweet baby girl.
We brought our cat in Sunday night for a blockage, that required a urinary catheter. Everyone there was amazing, even the cats in the front lobby :) Mike (I think that was his name) was super cool with us and explained everything in detail. The check in and check out process was smooth and quick. I think the only bad experience was paying the bill but that is expected with emergency care. I hope to never need them again but with 3 dogs and a cat i'm happy to know Tampa Bay Veterinary Emergency is there if we need them. Oliver is home and doing well.
The staff appeared competent, compassionate and engaged. The clinic seems to have a nice system in place to guide patients and their humans through challenging emergent/urgent care experiences. I also found the team to be forthcoming, communicative and reasonably priced. Thank you for caring for my cat!
