I recommend eating elsewhere before seeing your movie here.
The food however is not good by anymeans and its very obvious they use city water for their tea and ice water.
It's a great place to relax and have a nice evening. Enjoy a movie , a great meal and great drinks. Or come for the entertainment and to meet some great Tampa natives. It's a Tampa classic. I love the Tampa Pitcher Show. You should go...tonight!
My wife and I go every week that the movie changes, the prices are very reasonable and the food is excellent. Staff goes above and beyond to make your night enjoyable. I've read the negative reviews and find them very hard to believe, as a matter of fact I'd call them cheap shots, my wife and I have been enjoying the Pitcher Show since the mid 80's and have not had those issues. We have been to their competitors and they don't offer anything better then the Pitcher Show except higher prices. The owners have been upgrading the accommodations and type of entertainment offered. If you don't believe this review stop by any Wednesday and you'll find my wife and I enjoying the movie. Nils
Good staff and wonderful atmosphere
We went here for my birthday to watch a movie. It has a unique atmosphere when you walk in that's kinda cool and the prices at first seemed pretty nice. We were the only ones there so they started the movie for us and it was great. About 5 minutes into the movie a waitress comes up and asks for an order and we politely decline as we had told them we had just had a large dinner next door. She tries pushing stuff which is expected and we politely tell her we don't want any alcohol and she leaves. She comes back and says the manager demands we purchase at least $5 a piece in drinks. There is no sign stating this, and she even spills it's not a typical policy, so when we say no thanks, they turn the show off, now about 15 minutes in. Thankfully after some demanding we got our money back. It started out as great but then became exceptionally rude service. I definitely would not recommend it unless you go in throwing cash around, as a standard theater would be much better service and price, even if it does lack the nostalgia. I wouldn't recommend it.
Sam's Club reserved this place for its Employee Christmas dinner and a movie evening. It was great! Later I went on my own to see a new movie release. Got reservations. Had dinner and loved the movie! Closed after 35 years. :(
