I attended the Wildcat Walkabout last month and had a wonderful time. The cats have tons of room and seem extremely happy. I was sad that I didn't get to see Joseph the lion but they explained to me that he has anxiety from being used as a photo prop and is uncomfortable with crowds, so then I was very happy that he wasn't on the tour. They clearly care about their cats and work hard to keep them happy and healthy. I felt good spending my money on something that would benefit big cats rather than continue the cycle of keeping them in captivity, like a zoo. I loved everything about it.

We just did the annual Wildcat Walkabout. What an awesome experience! We were able to walk the tour path at our own pace. It seemed crowded before the tour started, but once people started on the trail, it spread out and we were able to see the big cats up pretty close. The caretakers had provided the cats along the tour path with enrichment items, so most of them were out where you could see them playing with pumpkins and enjoying their special popsicles. I will definitely sign up for this next year!
Visiting from out of town and looking for interesting things to do, myself and my wife visited BCR not knowing what to expect. We had a great tour with a lovely lady named Barb, she was very informative, caring and passionate about these beautiful animals. If you are looking for a unique and educational adventure stop by, you will not be disappointed.
I very much enjoyed my time on the property. It was the feeding time appointment so was more fast paced than I would have liked. We were not allowed to see the lions for what appears to be for their benefit. The guides are volunteers, knowledgeable and caring. I would recommend going to the Big Cat rescue. I will be going back. I am hoping I can spend more time on the property.
