Great value, especially with a membership! Our toddler enjoys himself immensely! The Zoo is clean and well-maintained. Great variety of animals, and enough hands on activity and rides for our little guy. Food prices are what your would expect. You can bring in coolers, and there are picnic areas by the parking lots. A great way to spend a morning or afternoon.
This zoo was amazing! The entire family enjoyed it. But the best part was to see how well the animals are treated. I've never been a big Zoo person because it always made me sad to see these animals in cages. But at this Zoo it was completely different. Each animal's habitat was as close to natural as you can get. They even have a critical care center for manatees that get hurt in the wild. They educate about the importance of conservation, reduction in pollution the protection of animals especially those that are endangered.
A lot of fun. It has a great splash pad and rides for the kids. Awesome interactive demonstrations where you get to feed some of the animals. We had a lot of fun and while it isn't a huge zoo it is great for families with young kids.
I'd have given this place a perfect 5 except for the exorbitant food prices. Come on guys, $10 for 3 strips of chicken and some french fries is a little much. Otherwise this is one of the sweetest little zoos I've ever been to. Clean well-designed good habitats excellent selection of animals compact with a variety of exhibits for all ages. Our two-year-old could have spent the whole day just splashing around among the water sprays.
I have lived in Florida for 6 years and I have never been to this zoo. My husband hasn't been since he was a child, so we decided to take our little boy for his 3rd birthday and it was so wonderful! The animals were all out playing and active. If you're going to go definitely get there early before the heat sets in or once the sun goes down that way you can see them. Once it gets too hot the animals hide and don't really come out until it cools back off. It was all kept up and clean and tons to see and do for kids and adults will love it too. If you need a fun place to spend a Saturday this is a great option!
