I would highly recommend Blount & Curry to assist during a time of difficult decisions, which require gentle, expert guidance.

I wanted to share with those of you that are now experiencing the loss of a loved one being a husband like I did, wife, child, or parent. You cannot find a more compassionate staff at this facility as I did in Debra and Carmen. Everyone that came to my Husband's Celebration of Life commented how it felt like everyone there including Debra and Carmen had been touched by Keith. We were put in touch with Rev. Frederick Grey who officiated the memorial service. This man made people cry. He never met my husband in life but knew him so very much in death. I thank Debra for recommending him. Barbara Ziegler

We recently were fortunate to have the services of Blount & Curry for my father's memorial. During a difficult time, these are wonderful professionals to have around.

The staff were present on time, and were very professional and gracious. They were there when you needed them, but stayed in the background just enough. They helped with decisions we needed to make quickly, and made positive contributions to ensure the service went as we hoped.

Be careful they are thieves they get you at your weakest point .....my husband passed away 3 months ago leaving behind 7 kids and he had life insurance but the life insurance would not pay because the policy had to be whats called full force which means you have to have the policy effective for 2 years.we worked paycheck to paycheck so mind you being left with so many kids i didnt have a penny to my name.when they told me the insurance would not pay i told them i didnt have a penny the lady insisted i sign a paper in case i came up with the money 15,000 they could have permission to then get the body from the medical examiner and i didnt have to worry about continuing to go back.so since every small task seemed so big and it was so exhausting, overwhelming, worrying, sadness.that sounded like such a weight off my shoulders not having to go back.i clearly said we dont have money so dont proceed with anything.i believe 2 or 3 days later my aunt has dealt with viewings before .mind you its the first time ive ever had to deal with this.we went there for a meeting with a different lady.she went down the list scracting off so many unessary stuff that you were told is uncluded which is a lie.thats how it totals to 15000.anyhow i believe she got it down to like 8k .we still didnt have anywhere near that kind of money so we told the lady ok we still dont have that kind of money but we have started a go fund me and so far i think i may have collect $500.anyhow we said im sorry but we dont think we will be able to raise 7500 in 2 days.her response was keep me posted.my cousin spoke to her about 2 other times through the phone and told her clearly we most likely were not going to have the money and would have to call other places.we found holloway.very nice people.so much compassion and worked with us we had a viewing and included urn and all for half of the 8 k.when i arrived at holloway with again no desire to be anywhere other than home mourning my husbands death.i get bad news that you guys would not release my husbands body unless i paid 2000.what?????are you serious.is this what you do to people who just lost a loved one?so now iam stressing and pissed so after hearing a few pissed words from me they dropped it to 1000.negotiating.i wanted my husband resting and this nightmare over so i paid the 1000.but however the first visit i made with them just to see what it would cost.guess what soon as i left that place they called and had my husbands body transfered there.when i clearly told them i didnt have a penny.Dont Sign Anything Ever if your just shopping around.thiefs i gave them a 1 star because if not i cant comment they dont deserve any
