Yes, LORD! As a Christian I am so pleased with the Man of God over the church. Its nice to know that there are still people holding on to GOD's HOLY word and not allow this world to dominate or cause him to change his mind.

It is neither Christ-centered nor biblically-based, to cancel a funeral the day before, just because you found out the deceased was gay. Love thy neighbor. Judge not, that you not be judged. You are justifiably being judged, now. I hope this experience strengthens your courage, Dr. Jenkins. You congregants need your leadership in order to learn the Way of Jesus. Help them (and yourself?) get over your bigotry.
Wow! I can't believe you people. You accuse Pastor Jenkins of not showing Jesus's love, compassion and judging others, yet you are doing to Pastor Jenkins the very same thing you are accusing him of. You are showing a one-sided God created love. Let God be the judge of Pastor Jenkins and this gay man.
I find NHMBC to be a loving, caring and kind congregation. I have seen them implement many programs that benefit the community and her membership. They have a very vibrant preaching and teaching ministry. The are believers in the power of prayer. There is a strong emphasis on families, marriages, youth and children. For the last several years, they have hosted a Youth Forum, Back to School events for the community. It is a great church!
When I visit from Chicago to Florida (new gay state) I will be visiting his church. As a matter of fact, I am going to send him my OFFERING. I'll stand for RIGHTEOUS any day.
