What caused me to finally post this was the attitude of the employee when I 'did' ask for it to be corrected.
I had called early in the day to place a couple books on hold. Staff was patient, friendly and polite. In the evening I got there to pick up my books which was being held at the cashier with my name tagged on them. The process was so quick and easy I decided to stay a bit and purchase a few more books. Overall a very pleasant experience
This Barnes & Noble is my favorite local bookstore. The environment is always clean and inviting. If you have been to a Barnes & Noble before then you should feel right at home. There is also a kids section that has a good selection of kids books as well as a Thomas the Train set for kids to play with. Last visit I had thought, the store seemed undermanned. There was one man operating the registers and no one else to be seen. Myself and another woman waited at customer service for a good 15 minutes before we got helped. After we were both helped the lady at customer service had the run to the front to help with the registers. Even though it appeared the store was lacking employees the ones I did meat where very helpful and understanding. They were doing their best to prevent any wait or congestion. I still like this store and they could have just been short staffed that day. Overall I highly recommend this store.
What's up with the attitude? It's 10:40am, kind of early for the attitude, don't you think?
Barnes and Noble is the one place I can rely on for a good supply of good books and magazines. I am into keeping tabs on the business environment here and abroad, in particular in the tech industry. There are plenty of books in those categories. There are also alot of maps of cities and states, featuring cities in the US and in other countries. The coffee here is great, they have a wide variety of pastries and other snacks. It is a good place to read and grab a snack!
Thanks whoever you are, I do hope your day gets better, it's a beautiful day out, step outside and readjust your attitude to work with people who are still trying to go to a bookstore, I actually still enjoy going to a bookstore as my own little getaway.
I got introduced to Green Tea Frappes here, brought my friend the first two times and turned her on to them but now EVERY time I go they just can't make them right: I have to tell them every time to add more ice because they're sloppy runny, then when they add ice they don't chop it up so full pieces of ice sit in the bottom of the cup. At $5.00 for a medium I expect it like is was the first time I was introduced to it. I'm about to decide not to continue getting them there and that's whats been bringing me back ever couple of days.
I ended up purchasing the book I wanted through Amazon as soon as I got off the phone with you, thanks :-) I'll have to wait a couple of days, but at least Amazon didn't give me any attitude ;-)
Guy answering the phone didn't even let me finish ask my question before cutting me off and ending it with OK?! And then *click*
